Leather Working Group (LWG) has appointed Victoria Snelling to the role of Director of Standards as part of the organisation’s strategic development.
Reporting to Executive Director Vanessa Podmore, Victoria brings a wealth of experience from many years of working in the Standards industry.
She spent 15 years in a variety of senior roles at The British Standards Institution (BSI), which is the national standards body of the United Kingdom, producing technical standards on a range of products and services, and supplying standards certification services for business.
During her time at BSI, Victoria was responsible for a portfolio of over 200 domestic standards and standardisation projects, with responsibility for several multi-year programmes, managing strategic interactions with sponsors and committees and ensuring the development of standards was aligned with rigorous governance principles.
The appointment of Victoria as Director of Standards reflects Leather Working Group's commitment to reducing impact and advancing sustainability in the leather industry.
She takes up the role within Leather Working Group’s Standards team effective 3 March, 2025.
