LWG brand and retail members are authorised to use the LWG logo to communicate our work and their commitment to sourcing its leather from facilities that are audited against the LWG Audit Standard.
Membership claims may only be made on product if all the leather in that product was sourced from an LWG-certified tannery. (It is important to understand that it is the facility that made the leather that carries the certification, not the product.)
The LWG Claims Framework provides clear guidance on making claims about LWG and ensuring compliance with our labelling requirements and it is available to members in their user area of our website.
LWG monitors all claims related to our organisation, members, to safeguard our credibility, uphold the integrity of our auditing program, and build consumer trust.
