Our philosophy on membership is that brands and suppliers fund the group through annual subscriptions, while leather manufacturers are assessed via the LWG Environmental Audit Protocol.

Meetings

The LWG hold 2 meetings annually, 1 in March/April to coincide with APLF in Hong Kong and 1 held in September in a different region each year.

How We Work

The Leather Working Group is made up of representative parties from different areas of the product supply chain including major brands, tanners, technical experts and other industry representatives. An Executive Committee is elected from the membership of the LWG by its members.
